There’s a great new resource for Accounting to make sure you’re in compliance with all the employment laws that apply to your company: The FirstStep Advisor is a new site from the Department of Labor with several tools you can use, separated into three sections: 

Employment Law Overview — which asks you multiple-choice questions about your company’s size, industry and location. The goal is to determine specifically which rules and regs apply to your situation — and then provide you with info on what you need to know. 

Recordkeeping, Reporting and Notices — summarizes the paperwork requirements for each law.

Poster Advisor — where you can download and print DOL posters, as well as find information on when and where posters must be displayed.
